Bunting Wagner (Kay), a lifelong resident of New Windsor, NY passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the age of 85, with her loving children by her side. The daughter of the late Lloyd and Alice Bunting, she was born on October 1, 1935, in Newburgh, NY. Kay graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and worked for many years as a secretary in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District at Newburgh Free Academy, New Windsor School, and part-time at the Board of Education where she was loved by many and known for her constant cheerfulness. Kay was married to the late Richard E. Wagner (Dick) for forty-six loving years and they loved to travel. One of their favorite places to visit with family was Florida, where they would take in as many MLB games during spring training as they could and visit Walt Disney World. She and Dick also loved Long Beach Island, NJ (LBI) and that love was instilled in her children and grandchildren. After fifty-seven years the family still calls LBI their favorite place to vacation. Kay had many hobbies; however, she will be remembered as an avid reader and her love of all things QVC. Kay was also better than most at playing the penny slots. Call it the luck of the Irish, because she hardly ever lost. Kay is survived by her son, Thomas Wagner, of New Windsor; wife, Connie Wagner and their daughter, Nicole Wagner, as well as her daughter, Kathi Bose of New Windsor and her son, Jason Bose; wife, Caitlan Bose and son, Jackson Bose. The family would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to call, stop by and send comfort during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank the nurses, doctors and care providers at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) who treated Kay with compassion and attentiveness during her final days, especially Bonnie Heal, the clinical nurse manager. A service will be held graveside on Thursday, Sep 30, 2021, at eleven o'clock in the morning at St. Francis Cemetery in New Windsor, NY.
