Vanessa Garcia Bowes, 45, of Salisbury Mills, loving wife and mother, entered into rest on Friday, December 28, 2018. The daughter of Norma (Solari) Garcia and the late Javier Garcia, she was born March 2, 1973 in Newburgh. Vanessa was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and Old Dominion University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, later earning a Master’s Degree in Education. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Bowes; her children: Evan Bowes, Kyle Bowes and Alek Bowes; her mother, Norma Garcia, and her sister, Roxanna Sager. She was predeceased by her father, Javier Garcia. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, January 2 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations on Vanessa's behalf may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
