Theresa Leo Silvestri of Newburgh, a retired secretary for Real Glass Company and lifelong resident of the area died Monday,
Feb. 22, 1999, in S Luke's Hospital Newburgh She was 83. The daughter of the late William and Constance Maffia Leo, she was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Torrington, .Conn. She was the widow of Albert Silvestri, who died Nov. 11, 1997. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Business and Professional Women of Newburgh: and volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital and Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh. A family statement read: "She was a great mother, grandmother and an asset to her community. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ann Silvestri of Newburgh, Susan Mann of Washingtonville; four brothers, Daniel Leo of New Windsor, Paul Leo of Goshen, Philip Leo of New York City and Charles Leo of Newburgh; one grandson, Daryn Mann of Washingtonville; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, in Calvary Presbyterian Church.
