Regina Alice Clark was a lifelong, proud resident of Newburgh, NY. She grew up with her three sisters on Lander Street in the city of Newburgh. As a young girl she spent her days at Downing Park, skating on the pond. She was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy Class of 1961. She was a dedicated single mother to her sons. Her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a pioneer of women working in traditionally male jobs, working as a welder with the local Boilermakers Union on the Hudson River and on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge and as a cable installer with Paragon Cable. As a young woman, she would walk up and down Broadway as a meter maid with frequent stops at her favorite malt shoppe, Commodore Chocolatier. Regina was an avid NY sports fan, and loved to watch the Yankees, Mets, and Giants. Anyone that knew "Mama Gina" knew that she radiated love, compassion and glitter. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing life. Her greatest times were spent with her family. She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Peggy Clark, and her dear friend, Ralphie. She is survived by her sons Jason (Michele), Joshua (April), Jacob (Trish), granddaughters Nikki and Alexandra, grandsons Zach, Chris, Jonah, Shea and great-grandchildren Aiden and Sophia. She is also survived by her sisters Carol, Maryann "Mimi" and Christina "Teenie"”, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donate to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh, 125 Washington St., Newburgh, NY 12550. Viewing will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 24th from 4pm-7pm, with services at 6:30pm. Her ashes will be spread in her beloved Hudson River at a later date.
