Scott Allen McEwen, aka Scotty the Bull, of Newburgh, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Newburgh on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. The son of the late Robert & Beverly McEwen, he was born on April 28, 1968 in Newburgh. Scott attended Newburgh schools. He was a very creative person and could fix anything. He was a fantastic cook and was very artistic. Scott was also his mother's Right-Hand Man ! Scott was a compassionate soul and a lifelong animal lover. He will be deeply missed by his beloved cat Tommy. He will be eternally missed by his brothers, Kevin McEwen (Lynn), and Jeffrey McEwen (Lisa), and his sister Kathleen Thompson (Phil). He also leaves behind his cherished nieces, Danielle, Andrea and Erica. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Philip Thompson. Visitation will be held from 12-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a service at 1:30. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
