Marilyn Todd Ambrosetti - Class of 1944

    Marilyn (Mim) T. Todd Ambrosetti entered into peaceful rest on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born on March 15, 1926 to Agnes (Elliott) and Samuel Todd. She graduated from NFA, class of 1944. In 1947, she married Charles J Ambrosetti. She worked as a school secretary at Montgomery Street/Horizons on the Hudson elementary school for 30 years. Faculty, staff and students all benefitted from her warm and caring personality. After her retirement, Mim volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital at the front desk for 26 years. Marilyn is survived by her daughters Nancy Doulin (Gene Ciancanelli), Judith (Ellsworth) Weygant, Lynn (Charlie)Thompson and her sons Charles (Karen)and Robert (Judy). She was affectionately “Nana” to her adoring grandchildren: David and Joseph Doulin, Chuck and Daniel Ambrosetti, Beth (Michael) O’Mara, Carey (Jason ) Lakritz, Robbie (Jessica) Ambrosetti, Charlie , Todd and Jessica Thompson, Kaylyn Weygant Nikki (Matt)Simon,and her littlest treasures Cruz,Paige, Savannah,RJ ,Callan, Quentin and Harrison. In addition to her parents and Brother Robert, Mim was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, her son in law, Joseph Doulin and her grandson Michael Ambrosetti. Mim enjoyed many years of family vacations, and traveling with friends. In her later years, Mim kept herself very busy helping others, reading lots of books and doing jigsaw puzzles. She will be truly missed by many. Those we love don’t just go away they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near to love. So missed so very dear. We are grateful to all who loved her. - March 15, 1926 - December 8, 2021

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13 at Brooks Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 14 at Brooks Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
