Phyllis J. Linton, 87 years old, of Montgomery, NYpassed away January 16, 2022 while in the Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing Facility in Matamoras, PA. She was born on April 3, 1934 in Cornwall, NY to Frank and Alva McCullough. She was the 9th of 11 children. Phyllis was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She was very athletic and had many friends. She married Bill Linton on June 26, 1954. They were married for 49 years! They had 6 children: Terri Colacchio(Steve), Joni Schorno, Rebecca McKeon(Donald), Robin McKinstrie(Joseph), Scott Linton(Anne) and Christine Doyle(Kevin); 18 grandchildren: Meghan McKeon, Katherine Curry(Patrick), Sarah McKeon(Curtis Wadsworth), Donald McKeon, Stephen Colacchio(Kathryn), Phillip Colacchio(Dara), Michael Colacchio(Brittany), Kelly Colacchio, Jessica, Stephanie and Shawn Schorno(Joe), Melissa Doulin, Joseph McKinstrie(Jessica), Amber Kehoe(James), Elizabeth Linton, Kayla Doyle, Abigail Doyle, William Doyle; and 18 great grandchildren! She also had many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at First Reformed Church, 70 Scofield St., Walden, NY 12586. Burial will follow at Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
