Keith Hamilton - Class of 1975

Keith Alan Hamilton, a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, passed away on
Monday, December 13, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He
was 64. Son of the late Erven W. Hamilton, Jr. and Hazel (Ingram) Hamilton, he
was born in Newburgh on January 6, 1957. Keith’s zest for life was enriched by
his faith, family, friends, and a multitude of hobbies. He attended Grace Bible
Church in Wappingers Falls. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed traveling,
especially vacations to beachfront destinations. He was a technology enthusiast
and took great interest in the most recently released gadgets and devices. He
was a longtime fan of the Hudson Valley Renegades and enjoyed listening to vast
array of music genres including Contemporary Christian, Country, and Broadway
Showtunes. Since 2017, Keith worked as a Loan Officer for Valley Bank. He was a
member of several organizations such as B.N.I., the Dutchess County Association
of Realtors, and the New Hamburg Yacht Club. On October 13, 2004, he married
Nancy (Kiepert) Lilly in Hawaii. Nancy survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Lauren Palermo & her husband Justin
of Glenville; his daughter, Jessica Phelts & her husband Roger of Tuckerton, NJ;
his son, Jason Hamilton of Beacon; his stepson, John Lilly & his wife Alicia of
Poughkeepsie; his stepson, Justin Lilly of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren,
Harper and Everett; his sister, Cheryl Sherwood & her husband Steve; his
brother, Erven Hamilton & his wife Roberta; his brother-in-law, Albert Kiepert &
his wife Lori; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 16 at McHoul
Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service
will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 17 at Fishkill Baptist Church, 107
Route 52, Fishkill. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at Cedar Hill
Cemetery, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh. The safety and wellbeing of all visitors is
most important to Keith’s family. Therefore, facemasks will be required.
Additionally, guests are respectfully encouraged to make their visits brief and
avoid congregating within the facility. For those who are unable to attend, all
services will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers,
