Phyllis T. Canfield, 71 of Wallkill, NY, entered into rest on February 18, 2022
at home. The daughter of Phillip and Constance (Pisano) Jannotti, she was born
on May 8, 1950 in Newburgh. She married Richard Allen Canfield Sr. on December
21, 1969 at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. Phyllis was a graduate of Newburgh
Free Academy, Class of 1968. She was a school bus driver for 15 years, retiring
in 2010 due to health issues. Phyllis was an amazing bus driver, and during her
15 years she was passionate about her duties and loved the kids. Phyllis loved
to make new recipes and test them out on her husband, enjoyed gardening and
spending time with her family. In addition to her husband Richard, she is
survived by her son, Richard A. Canfield Jr. and his wife Kathrine, and daughter
Loree Ann Worden; her siblings, Julie Maher, Lorraine Libolt, Camille Richichi
and Rosealie Shatzel; her grandchildren, Mike, Justin, Neysa, Alex, Richard III,
Tyler, Cheyenne, Joseph, Hannah and David; great-grandchildren, Sydney Isabella,
the daughter of Justin and Neysa and Marianna, the daughter of Richard; as well
as many nieces, nephews and cousins. - Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on
Thursday, February 24 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a
service at 6:30 p.m.
