Mary Frederick Mills - Class of 1969

       Mary Frederick Mills of Wallkill, NY entered into rest peacefully at home on March 3rd 2022. The daughter of the late Earl Frederick and June Cook Frederick, she was born October 12th 1951 on the US Air Force base in Newfoundland, Canada. Mary received an associates degree in nursing in 1994 and worked at Sylcox Nursing Home in Newburgh from 1993-2002. She worked at Deep Creek Nursing Center and Harbour Health Center after she moved to Florida in 2002. She was a Certified Dementia Specialist. Mary took great pride in her work and loved all of her patients. Mary had many pets over the years and dearly loved her basenjis, one of whom she certified as a therapy dog to accompany her to the nursing home. Mary is survived by her husband Donald Mills, her children Tracy Paige (Jeffrey Paige), Bobbie Jean Pentecost (Jordan Haffner), and Amanda Delgado (Daniel Delgado) and her grandchildren Anne, Alexander, and Laoghaire who were a great source of joy to her. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother James Frederick, and her sister Freda (Frederick) Braender. Visitation will be held on Monday March 7th from 4pm to 7pm at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue Newburgh. A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:30 am at Most Precious Blood Parish, 42 Walnut Street Walden NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s research, any humane society, or a basenji rescue organization. Visitation will be held Monday, March 7 at Brooks Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, March 8 at Most Precious Blood Church in Walden at 10:30 p.m. - October 12, 1951 - March 3, 2022
