Dr. Elizabeth S. Spano Hartey - Class of 1971

Dr.
Elizabeth S. Spano Hartey, a longtime resident of Milford, PA, passed away at
Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ on February 22, 2022. She was a devoted
mother, wife, nona, and sister. A gifted author, artist and chiropractor.
Elizabeth lived for her family and loved spending time with her kids and
grandson. She enjoyed caring for her family, swimming in her pool, watching
classic movies, singing and writing novels. She sang in off Broadway shows and
has written and published four romance novels over the past five years.
Elizabeth was always most proud of her four children and will be greatly missed.
The daughter of the late Nicholas and Lena Spano, she was born on February 7,
1954 in Newburgh, NY. Elizabeth was married to Edward J. Hartey on August 13th,
1983. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Dr. Edward J.
Hartey; four children: Taylor Hartey, Elyse Hartey, Jordan Hartey and Spencer
Hartey; adoring grandson: Sawyer; sister: Anne Lee Lander and brother: Nick
Spano. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making
a donation to establishing a library and reading institue for underpriviledged

celebration of her life will be held at Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home at 3412
NY-97, Barryville, NY 12719, on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm and
Saturday February 26, 2022 from 9:00-10:30am. A Mass will be held at St. Francis
Xavier Catholic church at 151 Bridge St, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 on Saturday,
February 26, 2022 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery in Milford,
