Kathleen Hennessey - Class of 1971

Kathleen "Kathy" Claire Hennessey, our dear, sweet, beautiful Kathy passed away
at her home in Jensen Beach, Florida on march 3, 2022, under the kind gentle
care of Hospice. Daughter of the late Robert Edward Hennessey and Katherine (Menzing)
Hennessey. Kathy was born on February 4, 1953, in Cornwall, New York. She
attended St. Thomas Elementary School, Mt. St. Mary Academy, NFA (1971), and
continued her education at Orange County Community College and Mount St. Mary
College to become a nurse. She worked at St. Luke's and Westchester Medical
Center and a home health care nurse. She was loved by her many patients as a
kind, caring caregiver who always has a smile and soothing words. Warm sunshine
called Kathy to Florida. She moved her beloved to Jensen Beach, Florida, where
she has spent the last 18 years making new friends and living a happy life.
Kathy's kindness to all was evident in her beautiful blue eyes that twinkled
when she smiled and lit up the room. She was always ready to entertain with her
beloved Brad doing the cooking, and so enjoyed having parties around the pool
with Jimmy Buffet playing in the background. All were welcomed!! She will be
greatly missed and is survived by her partner at home, Brad Shipley, and her
devoted dog, Annie. She also leaves behind her brother, Robert Edward Hennessey
and wife Lorraine; sisters, Maureen Hargraves and Karen Denisi and her husband ,
Dr. Dominick Denisi; nieces and nephews, Heather Galage and her Kevin, Danielle
Pelsue and husband Craig, Amy Doce and husband Jason, Erin Blanco and husband
Alfredo, Dr. Dominick Denisi Jr. and wife Dr. Kerri Clayton, Katherine Denisi
and her husband Dr. Neil Bramley, Jill Adams and husband John, and Robert Edward
Hennessey Jr.; She is also survived by her loving great nieces and great
nephews, Alexis Mittleman, Sam and Jack Galage, Kai Pelsue, Emerson and Greyson
Doce, Aidan, Isabella and Mason Blanco, and Lily and Rose Adams. Kathy leaves
behind her lifelong friend, Sharon Schebesta and her dear friends Susan Eilnberg
and Kathy Fletcher. A private family memorial will be held at a later date in
Florida. Donations to Kathy's honor may be made to an animal rescue of your
choice or Hospice. We would like to thank VITAS Healthcare and their wonderful
nurses and staff for giving Kathy the dignity and comfort to remain at home in
