Deloris
Donahue Wilkinson, 88 of New Windsor, NY, entered into rest on March 23, 2022 at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. Deloris was born on October 25, 1933 in Newburgh to the late James and Louise Donahue. Deloris was an only child but had a lifelong friendship that was more like a sister relationship with Sandra (Lennon) Kane who predeceased her. Deloris was always surrounded by many friends and was always the life of the party. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh. On December 5, 1954, Deloris married Donald Wilkinson in Newburgh NY. She worked for many years at NY Telephone Company as a Manager for the transfer station. She also held many positions thereafter and loved to work. Deloris finished her working career in 2013 where she was a bus monitor for West Point Tours. She was proud of her career accomplishments and always gave one piece of advice. "Go to work and pay your bills, life isn't that hard". Shopping was a favorite pastime of hers and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She would attend sporting events of different kinds to show her support. She is survived by her sons Donald Wilkinson (Leigh Ann) of Wallkill, NY and Scott Wilkinson (Marianna) of New Windsor, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephanie Wilkinson, Montgomery, NY, Katie Wilkinson Chateau (Colin) of Wallkill, NY, Donald Richard Wilkinson, III of Wallkill, NY and Jonathan Wilkinson, New Windsor, NY. She is also survived by many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents James and Louise Donahue as well as by her husband Donald Wilkinson who passed away in 1987 suddenly. Services will be at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 4-7pm. Church services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, Sacred Heart Parish, Robinson Avenue, Newburgh NY, with Interment following at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
