Michael J. Stephens, a resident of Venice, FL and a lifetime resident of Newburgh, NY passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Venice, FL where he lived the last three years of his life. He was 73 years old. Son of the late Benjamin and Helen Boszkiewicz Stephens, he was born one of triplets on May 20, 1948 in Bronx, NY. He was a 1969 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. Survivors include his brother, Robert Stephens of Nokomis, FL and his sister Regina DeAngelis and her husband Eugene, of Pleasant Valley, NY, his niece Ruth Chabot (husband, Alex), nephews Ross and Mark Stephens (wife, Oya), Thomas Bruno of FL and Joseph Bruno (predeceased), and several great-nieces and nephews. Although he suffered from cerebral palsy from birth he did not let his handicap slow him down. Besides his family, Michael's passion included baseball. He was an avid Mets fan and he loved to collect coins and read about the U.S. Presidents. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Burial of his cremains will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY sometime in the future.
