Lino V. Fantini - Class of 1989

  Lino V. Fantini, of Newburgh, New York, entered into rest on Monday, May 23, 2022. He was 51. Son of Maria Fantini and the late Lino W. A. Fantini, he was born February 6, 1971 in Newburgh. A lifelong area resident, for nearly 30 years Lino was the owner and operator of Imperial Jewelers, in New Paltz, NY. Lino followed his family into the business at a young age and over the years became a community business leader. He loved creating the beautiful and unique jewelry that became part of many weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions celebrated by his customers, who so often became friends. Lino was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and Fairfield University, Connecticut, where he received a B.A. and created lifelong friends. As a child, Lino attended St. Francis of Assisi School in Newburgh, where he made so many wonderful memories. Fond of sports cars, he loved to travel and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a passion he shared with his children. Survivors include his mother, Maria Fantini, of Southborough, MA; his sons, Nicholas and Daniel Fantini, both of New Paltz; his daughter, Anabelle Fantini of New Paltz; his brother, Wesley (Wendy) Fantini of Wilmington, NC; his sister Wisla (Craig) Fantini Heneghan of Southborough, MA; and mother of his children, Janene Fantini of New Paltz. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces Ryan, Nolan, Liam, Jenna and Kaley and aunts and uncles. Lino left his many loved ones too soon, but the memories they created with him, remain forever.

Visitation for friends and family will be on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2212 Route 44/55, Gardiner, NY 12525. Donations in Lino's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org -
