Gordon Eugene Misner of Crossville, TN (originally from New Windsor/Newburgh, NY), entered into rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. He was 73. Son of the late Richard and Virginia (Palmer) Misner, he was born March 6, 1949 in Napanoch, NY. Gordon proudly volunteered with the New Windsor (NY) Fire Dept. for many years. He worked as a truck driver/warehouseman for the John Herbert Office Furniture Company for many years and in later years worked in the warehouse for the United States Chess Federation until he retired in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith (Hansen) Misner. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Brink of New York and Richard (Dick) Misner of Virginia and sister-in-law Lori Hansen and Dick DuBois. Surviving family includes John Hansen, Jr., Joan DuBois, Joyce and Steve Hoffman, Joseph and Debra Hansen, sister-in-law Ethel Misner and Sandra Hawley. Gordon is also survived by many Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews, and many friends. The cremation was handled by Crossville Memorial Funeral Home with no services. The family greatly appreciates the long term care giving from Carol Johanson and family, staff at Life Care and Cumberland Medical Center both located in Crossville, TN.
