Pitcher Wimmer, of Newburgh NY, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was 62. Daughter of the late William and Sally (Sciusco) Pitcher, she was born August 21, 1959 in Midland Park, NJ. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1977 and worked at West Point Military Acadamy for 35 years. She married Patrick Wimmer on August 16, 1998 in West Point, NY. Barbara was an incredibly kind and caring person. She was a light to everyone that knew her. After retirement she volunteered her time at Meals on Wheels of Newburgh. She was an active member of the Church on the Vine. Barbara is survived by her husband Patrick Wimmer, her children Sara Pitcher and Reese Wimmer, step children Becky Roering and Jessica Felland, Grand children Aubrey, Bradley, Madeline, Paisley and Amelia, her siblings Billy and his wife Diana, David and his wife Laura, Sally, and Dennis and his wife Raquel. She is predeceased by her brother Richard. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a service at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Cancer Society.
