Marcelle McAllister Washington - Class of 1967 was born in Wagram, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy in 1967 and attended computer school to become a computer programmer with IBM for 30 years. She retired and pursued a career as a word processor at a local law firm (Catania, Mahon, Milligram & Rider) for 20 years. Marcelle enjoyed singing, puzzles, and going on walks at the park. She was a loving and devoted mother that most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Benjamin Washington (Priscilla) and Crystal Washington-Schein (Jay); grandchildren: Aaliyah Schein, Zachariah, Tahari, and Iman; siblings: William W. McAllister, Dolores McMillian; and a host of nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents: William McAllister (1989) & Margie McAllister (2022); siblings: Geneva Thompson (1996) and Ometha McAllister (2014).
