Robert Bobby James Dickman, 61, of New Windsor, NY and lifelong resident of the
area, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9th at St. Claire's Hospital in
Dover, NJ. Bobby, as he was referred to by friends and family, was the youngest
of 4 children. He was born to the late William H. Dickman and his wife Mary A. (Bollnak)
Dickman in Des Moines, Iowa, and moved with his family to New Windsor, NY when
he was 7 years old. He attended Newburgh schools and loved playing baseball and
football as a kid. Bobby was employed as a telephone technician for Williams
Inc. One of his most loved pastimes was as an avid fisherman, like his dad, and
loved camping and sitting by the campfire with his friends and family drinking
beer, joking, and telling stories reliving the good times. His love of the
outdoors extended to planting and tending his summer vegetable garden. He also
loved playing darts and bowling, trying his luck at Quickdraw and he never said
"no" to a frozen margarita! Bobby is survived by his wife, Natalie (Millspaugh)
Dickman and son, Robert W. Dickman of Newburgh, daughter, Kristina M. Dickman of
Long Island, his mother Mary A. Dickman of New Windsor, brother William (Billy)
Dickman and wife Linda of Cuddebackville, sister Ann (Dickman) O’Reilly and
husband Glenn of Newburgh, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bobby was
pre-deceased by his father, William H. Dickman and brother, Leslie Dickman.
