Linda Silvagni Way - Class of 1966, age 73, originally from Newburgh, NY, and formerly from Milton, NY, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, August 11, 2022, in Beacon, NY.

Linda was born on September 8, 1948, to Sylvia Macri Silvagni and John Silvagni, in Newburgh, NY. Her parents' first born made them very proud. Linda spent her childhood in Newburgh, NY, with her cousins and siblings and had a beautiful childhood. She graduated from Newburgh Schools and then went on to earn her Bachelors in Education at Mount Saint Mary College and then earned her Masters at SUNY New Paltz.

Linda went on to teach for many years in the Newburgh School District. She had a passion for teaching and began her career at Montgomery Street School and continued on with the rest of her teaching career at Meadow Hill School. She was a proud teacher for over 25 years. Our mother's love for teaching is what inspired both of her daughters to become teachers. Our mom had a flare for teaching and loved all of her students.

Our mother retired in 1996, after suffering from a cerebral aneurysm. She continued to be a source of courage and inspiration to her two loving and devoted daughters. It is impossible to put into words how much we loved and respected our mother. We cannot imagine having a better mom and are thankful for every minute that God gave us with her. We are very lucky girls!

Linda is survived by; her daughter, Jodi and husband Michael Connolly, of Washingtonville, NY. Her daughter, Jessica and husband Derrick Ohlhoff, of Milton, NY. She is survived by six beautiful grandchildren; Grace, Sylvia, Joseph, and Colin Ohlhoff and Mick and Lena Connolly. They all loved her very much.

She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Silvagni, sister-in-law, Lynne Silvagni and nieces; Michele Smith, Kristin Silvagni, Jennifer Bannan and Lisa Travis, as well as many cousins and great nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Sylvia and John Silvagni who helped lovingly care for her after her aneurysm. She was also predeceased by her brother, Johnny Silvagni. - September 8, 1948 ~ August 11, 2022
