Joanne (Bivona) Farley, aged 64, passed away at her home in Collegeville, PA surrounded by family on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Joanne was born July 27, 1958 in Newburgh, NY, the youngest child of the late Charles and Elizabeth "Betty" (Leinhart) Bivona. Joanne is survived by her three devoted daughters, Kristina Davis Bivona, Lyndsey Ann Davis, and Helena Barbara Davis, as well as her long-time partner, David McPherson. Joanne was an animal whisperer since childhood, and she treasured the spirited company of four-legged creatures. In her final years, Joanne could be found landscaping and sweetly humming in her garden with her pets or cooking for the many people who passed through her home. Before the age of twenty-one, Joanne catered for three U.S. presidents and the prime minister of Israel. She received her culinary training at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 1978. Joanne furthered her career as an asset to West Point Academy in West Point, NY and Fort Eustis in Newport News, VA. She later became Food and Beverage Manager of the Bay Hill Country Club in Orlando, FL and was treasured by both Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Palmer. Her list of star clientele includes Gregory Peck, Celine Dion, Elton John, and Frank Zappa. Joanne is also survived by five siblings, Jeannie Minch, Gregory Bivona, Barbara McDonald, Christina Bivona-Tellez, and Charles Bivona, along with former husband and father of her daughters, George Davis. A public memorial service will be held at the Skippack Church of the Brethren, 520 Collegeville Rd., on December 18th from 3-6pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Swedesford Road Perkiomenville, PA 18074, or to Save The Whales at www.savethewhales.org Arrangements are by the R.
