Kathleen Wilson Brandon entered into eternal rest on
November 15, 2022 at New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley
Hospital in Peekskill, NY. Kathleen, that daughter of Louis
and Carrie (Griffin) Wilson, was born at St. Luke's Hospital
in Newburgh, NY on August 25, 1944. She was one of 13
children. Kathleen was united in Holy Matrimony to John C.
Brandon, Sr. on August 25, 1963, and to this union, two
children were born: John and Paula. Kathleen graduated from
Newburgh Free Academy in 1963. She would eventually return
to Newburgh Free Academy and work as a matron. She retired
on 2009 after more than 30 years of employment. She was a
faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church from youth to
adulthood. She sang in the youth choir and became an usher
when she was an adult. Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory
her son, John C. Brandon, Jr. (Theresa) and daughter, Paula
Brandon, both of Newburgh; 5 grandchildren, Solomon Shaw,
Danielle Brandon, Crystal Hinson, Eric Hinson, and Willie
Hinson; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Wilson
(Mildred); sister-in-law, Gladys Thompson (Tommy); and a
special nephew, Curtis Wilson. Kathleen is predeceased by
her husband, John C. Brandon, Sr.; her parents, Louis and
Carrie Wilson; siblings, Gladys Williams (William), Frances
Wilson, Rodger Wilson (Ernestine), Robert Wilson, Clyde
Wilson, Annie Page (Shorty), Elsie Wilson, Dorothy Libran
(Melvin), Naomi Riddick (Bill), and Lois Wilson;
brother-in-=law, Sam Brandon (Queen); sisters-in-law,
Louella Robinson and Sarah Edwards (Johnny). - August 25,
