Beatrice R. Venuti Gruini, formerly of Newburgh and Walden,
NY, entered into rest on December 19, 2022 while in
Limestone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Athens, AL with
her daughter, Joanne, at her side. Beatrice was 95 years
old. Daughter of the late Henry Venuti and Josephine
(Giudice) Venuti, she was born October 23, 1927 in Newburgh.
Beatrice was a graduate of NFA Class of 1945. She was a
beautician and homemaker. Beatrice was a parishioner of
Sacred Heart Church, and a member of the Catholic Daughters,
Court Patricia, Newburgh. Beatrice had many friends, and
loved her pugs. She enjoyed Bingo, trips to the casino, and
dining out. Beatrice was a wonderful Mother, and will be
greatly missed, and always loved by her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Wendt Fengl and her
husband, Peter of Athens, AL. Her son, John Gruini Jr. and
his wife, Melissa of Montgomery, NY. Her grandson, Matthew
Gruini of Port Jervis, NY, and her nephews, Donald and Gary
Ruckdaschel of Newburgh, NY. Beatrice was predeceased by her
husband, John Gruini Sr., brother in law and sister in law,
Donald and Mary Ruckdaschel, son in law, Heinz Wendt, and
grandson, Michael Wendt. There will be no visitation. Mass
of Christian Burial will be held on December 29, 11:00 am at
Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary
Cemetery, New Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be sent to the Town of Newburgh Animal
Shelter, Walden Animal Shelter, or Affinity Hospice, 540
Hughes Road, Suite 12, Madison, AL 35758. - October 23, 1927
