Anna Murray Galindo - Class of 1945

    Anna H. Galindo, a beloved wife, sister in law and aunt, entered into rest on January 4, 2023, at the age of 95. Anna was always very kind, polite and cheerful. She loved to socialize and enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling. Anna was born October 23, 1927, in New Windsor, NY to Walter Murray and Anna Kosecsky Murray. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1945. Anna married Joseph Galindo, Jr on August 20, 1960. She lived with her husband in Montgomery, NY. Anna worked as an Executive Secretary to the commander in West Point until she retired. After retirement she was a secretary for Dr. Wolfe and Dr. Jensen's office. Anna was a member of the Garden Club, UCTA Club and Montgomery Seniors. She also was a member of St. Mary's Church in Montgomery and St. Francis in Newburgh.
         Anna is survived by her sister in law, Margarita Vanasco and brother in law, Manuel Galindo, her nieces and nephew, Deanna Tracey(Micheal), Lisa Rivera (Adolfo). Cheri Galindo, Gary Galindo (Candi), her grand nieces and nephews, Geo Vanasco, Allison Sutherland, Adolfo Rivera, Nicole Ferraiolo (Kyle), Daniella Rivera, Logan Galindo, and great niece and nephew, Audrey and Jack Ferraiolo. Anna is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Galindo, Jr and her parents, Walter Murray and Anna Murray. Her brother in law Jack Vanasco and sister in law Beverly Galindo. Anna was very involved in her community. She had a great spirit and wit. She loved to sing or hum while doing her everyday tasks. She is loved by her family and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank her Caregiver, Merike Mallon for her many years of loving care to Anna. We appreciate your care, kindness and professionalism. - October 23, 1927 ~ January 4, 2023

In lieu of flowers please send donations in Anna Galindo's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10 from 10 - 11 AM. A Funeral Service will take place at Brooks Funeral Home at 11 AM, followed by interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
