Dean Patsalos - Class of 1978

    Dean P. Patsalos a life- long resident of the Hudson Valley, died on January 13, 2023, at the age of 62. Dean was born on December 5, 1960, in Newburgh, N.Y. He is the son of the late Peter and Angelina Patsalos. He was an extraordinary son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. Dean was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and SUNY Empire State College, earning a bachelor's degree. Dean also enjoyed more than twenty years working as a HUD certified Real Estate Salesperson for John J. Lease Realtors. He also held a realtors license in the State of Florida. More recently, Dean was employed by La Mela's Sanitation Services. It is here where he formed bonds with who he considered his second family. Dean loved fast cars, boats, and his train collection. Nothing made Dean happier than a drive to the beach on a hot sunny day in his Lincoln. But more than anything Dean loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, always making them laugh. Dean made friends everywhere he went, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his three sisters Ann Patsalos, and her spouse Dr. Stephen Enriquez; Jeanne Patsalos, and her partner David Corey; and Kristina Patsalos, and her spouse Neal Wilkinson, and his nieces and nephews Peter Enriquez, Erica Enriquez, Benjamin Patsalos, Paige Wilkinson, and Neal Pete Wilkinson. He is also survived by his beloved Aunt Penelope Vassell; his Uncle Constantine Vassell and his wife Lila.
          Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 3:00-6:00 pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Newburgh, with entombment following at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh.
