Michele Williams - Class of 1974

Michele was born on September 27, 1956 in Cornwall, NY to
Edward and Rose Williams. She was the fifth child of eight.
She grew up in Newburgh, and graduated from Newburgh Free
Academy, then went on to receive her LPN certificate.
Michele loved sports, her favorite teams were the NY Mets,
NY Knicks, and NY Jets. She was a born-again Christian, and
attended "Soul Saving Station COGIC." Michele is survived by
two biological sons, Ryan Williams and Jaron Williams and
his wife Jasmine. Michele and her best friend, Millicent
Kilgore, opened their home in Newburgh to many boys and
girls and raised them as her own. Michele moved to Michigan
to be with the love of her life, Yvonne Sallie, and helped
raise their four daughters. They continued an open foster
home that provided a loving environment for many children in
need. Michele is survived by her sisters, Patricia Myers and
husband Billy Myers, Deborah Siltz, sister-in-law, Kathy
Williams (wife of John); brothers, Edward Williams Jr. and
wife Claire Williams, Michael Williams, Timothy Williams and
wife Monica Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. She
is also survived by her grandchildren, Giovanni Rivera, Nora
Williams, Raylin Williams, Rylee Williams, Brayden Williams,
Alana Williams, and Charlee Williams. She is predeceased by
her siblings, John Williams and Nancy Gott.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday,
February 10 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave.,
Newburgh, with a service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in
Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor. - September 27, 1956 ~
