Noreine Mulligan-Struzzieri - Class of
1973

Noreine A. Mulligan Struzzieri of Shawangunk, NY, formerly
of Newburgh, passed away peacefully on March 7,2023 after a
valiant battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her
loving family. Noreine was born on February 18,1955 to Mary
(Molly) Rogers and Edward Mulligan. She grew up in a large
Irish family. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in
1973. Noreine went on to New York City where she studied
Cosmetology. Upon completion, Noreine went to work for John
and Gloria's Beauty Salon for many years until 1998 when she
opened her own salon; Noreine's Hair Reflections in the Town
of Newburgh. She later moved her salon to Broadway in
Newburgh where she remained until retirement.
Noreine and John met in
1996 and married in 2008. They merged two families together
to create one big beautiful family. Noreine was a devoted,
compassionate loving, wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother. Noreine was solid, intensely determined,
and unwavering in her presence. She kept it all together,
she kept it all in line, she was a rock and a soft place to
land all in one. She managed to do it with a light heart, a
sense of humor and a beautiful soul.
After retirement Noreine and
John spent their time at the casinos; gambling was a
passionate hobby for her. Noreine also had a love of
throwing the best holiday parties and she loved spending
time near the pool with her family.
Noreine is predeceased by her mother, Mary Rogers. Noreine
is survived by her loving husband John M. Struzzieri their
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Children,
Melissa Variano, John Struzzieri, Jill Harman (Seth), Jeff
Struzzieri (Trish), Janette Struzzieri. Noreine is survived
by her 9 grandchildren, Devon, Siara, Michaela, Nicholas,
Jaden, Cole, Mackenzie, Bishop and Deacon and two
great-grandchildren, Logan and Mateo. Noreine is also
survived by her siblings, Mary Jane (Bob), Linda, Madeleine,
Edward (Pamela), Timothy (Debbie), Michael (Laurence),
Shawn, Michele (John) as well as her husband's siblings
Peter (Pat), Thomas (Jane), and Patricia (Ray) as well as
many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Noreine loved life and brought great joy and happiness to
both her family, friends and clients. She will be greatly
missed by all. February 18, 1955 ~ March 7, 2023
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 12 from
1 - 5 PM at Wallkill Hook and Ladder Firehouse, 112 Bona
Ventura Ave, Wallkill, NY 12589.
