Geraldine A. DiCesare Dennis (Gerry) was born on October 27,
1931 to Anthony and Maria DiCesare of Newburgh, NY. Gerry
married her high school sweetheart, James F. Dennis (Jim) on
August 5, 1951. Together they raised their family of six (6)
children; Kathleen Ann (deceased), James Patrick, Susan,
Bernadette Lucia, Gerald Anthony and Mary Patrice. Gerry and
Jim were lifelong parishioners of Sacred Heart Church and
sent their 6 children to Sacred Heart School. She believed
very strongly in the bonds of faith and family, and spent
her life showing her appreciation for both. She served as a
Catholic Daughter for over 50 years, was a Eucharistic
Minister and devoted time to the RCIA program for those who
wanted to become adult Catholics. Her Love of God and family
brought her the greatest of joy. She loved her family with
all of her heart; not to mention the love of her life James
Francis, who celebrated 71 years of marriage in August.
Geraldine is survived by her five (5) children; twelve (12)
grandchildren, and eight (8) great-grandchildren. Also
survived by her sister Rita Bowan and her nephew John and
niece Marianne. Her grandchildren are; Lisa Stern, Michele
Dennis, Adam McKinstrie, Kiley Kuhla, Patrick Ortland, Megan
Tyson, Anthony Dennis, Isabel Freeman, James L. Dennis,
Aidan Bailey, Morgan Bailey and Abigail Bailey. Her 8
great-grandchildren are; Olivia Stern, Willow Stern, Rainier
Stern, Atticus McKinstrie, Michael Kuhla, William Kuhla,
Callum Tyson and Camdon Tyson. Visitation will be held from
10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3 at Brooks Funeral
Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m.
