Bernadette M. Chick, age 76, a current resident of Wallkill,
NY passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home.
Bernadette was born on September 6, 1946, in the Town of
Newburgh to Helen and John T. Bulson. She was a graduate of
Newburgh Free Academy, class of 1965. She was a dedicated
wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at Manheim Auto
Auction for over 20 years in the accounting department.
Bernadette was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church
for over 40 years where she was a member of the church
choir.
On January 11, 1969, at St. Patrick’s Church in Newburgh,
NY, she married David L. Chick of Newburgh. Bernadette is
survived by 2 children. David W. Chick and his husband David
M. Waldner of Fredericksburg, VA, and Allison Factor and her
husband Seth of Staten Island, NY. Two granddaughters, Chloe
and Carly Factor of Staten Island, NY. Bernadette is also
survived by her sister Norma Kahl and her husband Paul of
Walden, NY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to
her parents, Bernadette was predeceased by her brother John
T. Bulson.
Bernadette loved to cook, travel and spend time with her
family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Bernadette’s family respectfully requests memorial donations
to St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry, c/o St. Theresa Mother
of Calcutta Parish, 23 S. Robinson Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21st from 4:00 P.M.
- 7:00 P.M. at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be
held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 22nd, at St. Francis
of Assisi Church, Newburgh, with a burial to follow at St.
Francis Cemetery, New Windsor. - September 6, 1946 ~ April
