Robin Denise (Hooks) Brooks, was born March 24, 1964 in
Newburgh, New York to the late Charles and Clara (Hanshaw)
Hooks. Robin graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and then
studied to receive her cosmetology license. During her years
in Newburgh, she was an active member of Ebenezer Baptist
Church. Years after leaving New York, she later joined the
family of Third Mount Zion Baptist Church. There she served
in the choir as an Anointed Voice. Robin was employed by
General Products Co. She later went on to work for Micron
Technology Inc. in Manassas, VA, before her body was
afflicted with sickness. She was well known and respected by
many. Robin was a caring and giving person, who would
sacrifice not only her health but her life even, for her
family. In addition to her parents, Robin was preceded in
death by her daughter, Precious Renee Jones; her sister,
Dora (Hooks) McMillan and most recently, her brother,
Gregory Hooks. Robin leaves to cherish her loving memory her
husband, Anthony Brooks; two daughters, Princess Jones and
Tonise Brooks; one step-daughter, Toneah Roberson; a nephew
whom was more like a son, Raekwon Allen; four grandchildren,
Sanai Berryman, Niasia Berryman, Demetrius Waller and
Demarius Waller; one sister, Renee Hooks; and two brothers,
John Kyle and Darryl Hooks , and a host of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
