Hazel Lake, a homemaker, of Wallkill, NY passed away at her
home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. The daughter of the late
Russell and Alfreda Mae Griffin Tagart, she was born on July
17, 1933 in Newburgh, NY. She was 89 years old. Hazel is
survived by her sons: Walter K. Lake of Wallkill and Edward
Steven Engels of Modena; daughters: Debra M. Robinson
(Timothy) of Mechanicsville, Suzanne Emashowski (Steve) of
West Hurley; brother, Robert (Mary) Columbus of TN; several
grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Cremation was in the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, Funeral
services were private. Memorial contributions may be made to
Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties 800 Stony Brook
Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or Gardiner Reformed Church, 100
Main Street, Gardiner, NY.
