Michael Carbone - Class of 1969

  Michael C. Carbone, a resident of Malta, NY previously from Bloomingburg, NY passed away on Monday May 29, 2023 unexpectedly despite his 7 year battle with kidney disease. Michael was the son of the late Mike A. and Mary (Palermo) Carbone born in Newburgh, NY on December 9th,1950.

He was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and attended Orange County Community College. His outgoing personality, sense of humor and good looks benefited him in his career as a salesman in the carpet industry as well as real estate later in life.

In October of 1976, he married his beloved wife Joan (Brady) and raised two wonderful sons, Kevin and Michael. Throughout his life, Mike was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He always had a love of music and was an original attendee of Woodstock '69 in Bethel, NY. His greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren who were the love of his life. He dedicated himself to protecting his wife and family throughout his dying days.

Michael is survived by his wife Joan, children: Kevin and his wife Carri of Bloomingburg, NY, Michael and his wife Marcy of Wilton, NY, brother Christopher and wife Tina and children Christopher and Gabriella of Myrtle Beach, SC, grandchildren Casey, Andrew, Brooklynne and Adeline. He is also survived by uncle and aunts: Thomas and Linda Palermo and Jeanne Palermo, as well as many cousins, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and friends. Michael was pre-deceased by his parents Mike and Mary and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services are managed by Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh, NY. Calling hours are Sunday June 4th, 2023 from 1-4pm, with a mass on Monday June 5th, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church-St. Mother Teresa Parish in Newburgh NY.
