Mary VanDuser John - Class of 1953

    Mary V. John, age 87, of North Canton, passed away on June 8, 2023. She was born August 16, 1935 in Newburgh, NY and was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph A. and Ethel B. Van Duser (Lozier); husband, Eddie A. John; daughters, Patricia and Kerry John; and brother, David Van Duser. Mary is survived by her children, David John of North Canton, Kimberly (David) Dye of Pataskala, OH, and Michael John of North Canton; grandchildren, Matthew John and Christopher Nunnally; sister-in-law, Patty Van Duser; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary was an avid reader, music lover, and Star Trek and Classic Westerns enthusiast. She was a Cleveland baseball fan and also enjoyed watching college sports. Most importantly, Mary was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She was a caregiver to her mother and husband and always put the care of others before her own. She was passionate about donating to numerous causes, one being, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It is the memories of time spent together watching favorite shows to the love and generosity she bestowed to family and friends that will surely transcend time as her lasting legacies. Mary will be deeply missed.
          The family welcomes guests to memorial calling hours on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 11AM to 1PM at the Reed Funeral Home NORTH Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave N.W., North Canton, OH 44720, with the memorial service beginning at 1PM. Following the service, all are welcome to meet at North Lawn Cemetery for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Compassionate Care at Woodlawn.
