Vincent Guariglia, 75, of New Windsor N.Y. and Fort Myers, Florida, went to be with his Lord on July 14, 2023. The Son of the late Vincent Guariglia and Louise Guariglia (Jannotti) he was born on July 9, 1948 in Newburgh, N.Y.

Vin was a wonderful, loving, smart, caring soul to his wife, his family and everyone he knew. He was an artist, a musician, and a poet.

He worked for the Department of Defense at West Point Military Academy for thirty eight years, a faithful and dutiful servant, who loved his country and lived by the Cadet code "Duty, Honor, Country".

He was a life member at the New Hamburg Yacht Club on the Hudson River. He and his wife were boaters and very active members for 20 years or more. There, he was known as head of the "fun" committee, always interjecting lighthearted fun and wisdom into everything.

Vin made every family event a true celebration with games, laughter and family stories that we couldn't get enough of. He brought a smile to anyone who knew him with his positive energy and good-hearted nature.

Vin is survived by his loving wife Donna Guariglia, his sister Philomena Mahood, his nephew Michael Mahood, his life partner Jennifer Aiello, and his sons, Michael and Matthew, his niece Susan Benedict, her husband Duane Benedict and their children, Dustin and Dillon, Dillon's fiancee Julia Recine and her son Patrick, and many cousins, family and friends.

Vin will be deeply missed by whoever knew him and will be remembered for his love and dedication to his wife and family.

There will be a Memorial Mass held at Sacred Heart Church 301 Ann Street, Newburgh, NY on August 16, 2023 at 10AM.

There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony held at Sanibel Community Church, Sanibel, Florida in November of this year. To share a story or pictures for his Ceremony of Life, please contact his wife.
