Theresa D'Elicio - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa D'Elicio, a cherished daughter, sister, fiancee, aunt, and friend. Theresa's journey on this earth concluded on August 26, 2023, leaving a void that can only be filled by the cherished memories of her life. Born on March 22, 1966, Theresa's presence was a gift that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a shining light of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to both her family and causes close to her heart. Theresa leaves behind her four sisters - Dawn, Bernadette, Patricia and Daniela. The bonds they shared were unbreakable, a testament to the strength of a sisterhood built on love, laughter, and the countless memories they created together. A devoted fiancee, Theresa found a kindred spirit in John, her loving partner. Their love was a beacon of light that illuminated their lives and the lives of those around them. Their journey together was a testament to the beauty of a partnership built on understanding, love, and unwavering support. Theresa's nurturing spirit extended to her role as a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She embraced this role with open arms, guiding, supporting, and sharing in their lives with the same warmth that touched everyone she encountered. Theresa's professional journey spanned over 30 years at McDonald's, where her dedication and warmth endeared her to colleagues and patrons alike. Her impact reached beyond the restaurant walls, leaving an indelible mark on her community. However, it wasn't just her professional life that defined Theresa. Her heart was a haven for animals in need, especially cats. Devoting her time to rescuing and caring for them, Theresa exemplified compassion and kindness, leaving a legacy of love for those who couldn't speak for themselves. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Daniel and Dolores D'Elicio, Theresa now rests in their warm embrace. Their guidance and values shaped her into the remarkable woman she became, a beacon of kindness and empathy in a world that so often needs it. A celebration of Theresa's life will be held on Thursday, August 31st, 4-7 pm at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh, NY where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and find comfort in shared stories of her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hudsonvalleyspca.com a no kill sanctuary reflecting Theresa's love for animals. Though Theresa's physical presence may be gone, her love, compassion, and enduring impact will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she find eternal peace and rest in the company of her loved ones who have gone before her. - March 22, 1966 - August 26, 2023

Rest in peace, dear Theresa. Your light shines on in the lives you've touched, and your memory will forever guide us.
