Daniel Bernard Mullarkey entered into rest on August
10, 2023. The son of John B. and Patricia (Youlio) Mullarkey
was born September 26, 1954 in Newburgh, NY. He was the
grandson of the late Lawrence and Alice Quinn Youlio and
Bernard and Margaret (Durick) Mullarkey. He was raised in
New Windsor, NY with his three brothers. Dan was a graduate
of Newburgh Free Academy in 1972 and later joined and served
for the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972-1975, during Vietnam.
After his service in the Marine Corps, he attended a trade
school in Florida for heavy equipment operating. When he
returned home, he joined the Ironworkers Union, Local 417,
which he retired from after 40+ years. Shortly after
retiring, he moved to Naples, Florida. Danny was a loving
son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. He is predeceased by
his father, Jack. He leaves behind his mother, Patricia
Mullarkey; brothers, Peter (Lisa), John (Jennifer) and
Timothy (Rosemary); as well as many nieces and nephews. He
loved spending time at his favorite places in Newburgh and
Naples while chatting with friends and sharing a beer. Danny
was an avid supporter and member of the American Legion and
Ancient Order of the Hibernians (AOH). Danny will truly be
missed but he will never be forgotten and when you see a
Heineken be sure to think of him.
