Newsom, Ruth "Ruthie", 92, of Belleair, FL, passed away
September 25, 2023 at Morton Plant Hospital. Ruth was born
and raised in Newburgh, NY and had recently moved to sunny
Florida. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents John and
Jane Pollock and her siblings Jane Dryer, John Pollock,
and Anna Genter. She is survived by her loving
husband, Clyde Newsom; son Scott (Marianne) Newsom; daughter
Kriste (Tom) Hoffman; son Russell Newsom; grandchildren
Erika Clark, Heidi Newsom, Kelsey McKenna, Evan Hoffman,
Jared Newsom, and James Newsom; and her great-grandchildren
Savannah, Derrick, Ava and Emerson. Ruth loved her Lord and
was a member of Moulton Memorial Baptist church. She was an
avid reader of the Bible, as well as many novels, and she
loved classical music. She will be remembered by many as the
Card Lady, as she always remembered to send a note of
support, sympathy, or birthday and holiday wishes. (If you
know, you know.) She loved her husband, her children, and
all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pictures
and videos brought a smile to her face, especially towards
the end of her life. Ruth's service will be private. In lieu
of flowers, donations in Ruth's name can be sent to Moulton
Memorial Baptist church in Newburgh, NY.
