Jill Williamson Talasco - Class of 1966

        Jill L. Williamson Talasco, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was 75. Daughter of the late Bruce R. and Agnes J. (Gately) Williamson, she was born on May 7, 1948 in Newburgh, NY. Jill was a lifelong resident of Newburgh. She enjoyed spending time with her circle of friends many of which she had known since childhood. She loved listening to live music, gardening, reading, and visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor, a huge heart, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include a son, Eric (Cheryl) Talasco of North Granby, CT; a daughter, Traci Talasco (Pierre Kalenzaga) of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Brian (Margie) Williamson of West Hartford, CT; a sister, Joyce (Danny) Nittolo of Poughkeepsie, NY; three grandchildren, Jessie, Amy and Zoe; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George J. Talasco in 2006, and a companion, Gordon B. Groff, Jr., in 2018.
      Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory. Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jill's memory can be made to Kaplan Family Hospice Residence at www.hospiceoforange.com or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
