Ronald
H. Buckner Sr., of New Windsor entered into rest October 18,
2023. He was 84. Son of the late Clinton D. and Mary R.
(Perry) Buckner, Ronald was born, March 8, 1939 in
Cortlandt, NY. Ronald was the founder and retired president
of Buckner Waste Oil, Inc, which he founded in 1961. He was
a veteran the U. S. Army, member of the American Legion Post
#1796, former and longtime member of Newburgh Country Club
where he was known as the "Tested Warrior", and former
member of Osiris County Club. Survivors include his son
Ronald H Buckner II and wife, Diane of New Windsor, daughter
Courtney Vasseghi and husband, Michael of Franklin Lakes,
NJ., grandchildren: Meredyth Buckner, Morgan Kish and Ronald
H. Buckner III, Alex Vasseghi and Laney Vasseghi, niece,
Susan Johansson. In addition to his parents, Ron was
predeceased by his beloved wife, Harriet D. Buckner, and his
brother, Clinton Buckner.
There will be no public
visitation. Services and entombment will be private. If
desired donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
