David Breuer-Bernard - Class of 1999 - With great sadness, we announce the passing of David E. Breuer-Bernard of Newburgh, NY. Born in Manhattan on February 13, 1981, to Edward and Christina (Costiglio) Bernard. After graduating from NFA in 1999, where he excelled in art, he pursued various passions, including professional photography and crafting his fabulous handmade crochet items. David cherished people, animals, cooking treasured family recipes, dancing, books, and Christmas. His infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew him, as well as the positive energy he brought to every room. You laughed with him during those often unexpected bursts of joy, in moments of "that's so David," and may those moments continue to bring a smile to your face. David welcomed everyone, embraced all, and loved with his whole heart. His genuine and courageous example inspired others to do the same, creating a legacy of kindness, openness, and love that continues to touch the lives and hearts of those he knew, and beyond. He is predeceased by his beloved mother and is survived by his husband, Mark Breuer-Bernard of Wappingers Falls, NY, his father, Edward Bernard of Newburgh, and his sister, Laura C. Bernard of Watertown, MA. He also leaves behind numerous family members, friends, and friends who became family. David will be remembered for his generosity, creativity, and most of all, for always being true to himself.
