Angelo Marino - Class 0f 1984

   Angelo Peter Marino, also known as Dad, Uncle Pokey, Cosmo Wiggins, and Scrub, of Wallkill, NY suddenly passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 14th. He was born on May 17th, 1966 in Newburgh, NY; he was 57 years old. He was the son of Carmen and Frances Marino of New Windsor, NY. He left behind his wife, Christine Marino, of 27 years and his three daughters: Melissa, Samantha, and Angelica, all of Wallkill, NY. He has a brother, Carmen Marino, and his wife, Carmelina Marino, and their twin sons Carmen and Nicolas Marino, all of Newburgh, NY. He left behind his mother and father in laws, Michael and Frances Dunn of New Windsor, NY. His brother in laws: Michael Dunn and his wife, Tina Dunn of Marlboro, NY, Vincent Dunn and Lori Messina of New Windsor, NY, and Thomas Dunn and Harrison Fong of Brooklyn, NY. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew: Sophia Dunn of Marlboro, NY, Maura and Maeve Pasqualiccio, and Shamus Dunn, all of Newburgh, NY.
          He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1984. He graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration in 1988. He also attended the Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, California.
          He was a union carpenter with Local 279 for 20+ years. He was also a tech teacher at South Jr. High School in Newburgh, NY, and owned his own business, Kustom Trim Home Improvements, out of Wallkill, NY.
          He was a unique character who left his mark on everyone he met. He charmed every room with his undeniable sense of humor and personality. He always had his fork ready for his next meal or his pockets full of snacks.. or wrappers. He loved his animals and was very passionate about his work and music. He was an incredibly talented guitarist with a great love for music and performing.
          His memorial service will be held this Sunday, November, 19th, from 1-4pm at Hudson Valley Funeral Home in New Windsor, NY. In lieu of flowers, his beloved band, Corroded Roots, is hosting a benefit concert in his honor at the Shamrock Club in Poughkeepsie, NY. The date is to be announced.
