Lynda Corrado Leach - Class of 1966 - It is with great
sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Leach, a
beloved family member, friend, and pillar of the community.
Lynda departed from this world on November 25, 2023, while
surrounded by her loving husband and four daughters.
Born October 17, 1948, in Newburgh, NY, Lynda was the second
child of the late Benjamin and Josephine (Blazick) Corrado.
She grew up in Newburgh and attended Newburgh schools where
she was known for her kind-hearted nature and adventurous
spirit. She married Paul Pfister in 1967 and they moved to
California soon after, where they later divorced. In
December of 1978, Lynda married Lawrence Leach. They made
their life in Benicia, CA where they raised their daughters,
started a business together, and were both very active with
their church and community projects.
Throughout her life, Lynda constantly sought ways to make a
difference in her community by helping others. Her
selflessness was demonstrated by her involvement in her
local church, where she dedicated countless hours in the
community services department, serving those who were less
fortunate. Lynda’s commitment to service inspired many, and
her legacy of compassion will continue to impact the lives
of others for years to come.
Above all, Lynda cherished her role as a devoted wife,
mother, sister, and grandparent, creating a nurturing and
supportive environment for her loved ones. Her children,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever cherish
the memories they created together and her guiding presence
will be sorely missed.
Lynda leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and
compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and those
whose lives she touched.
Lynda was pre-deceased by her parents, Benjamin and
Josephine Corrado, her brother John Corrado and great niece
Jamie McDonough & her infant baby Ciani. She is survived
by her husband, Larry, her daughters, Angela and husband
Ibrahim Hamamjy, Danielle and husband Joseph Amador, Kelly
Pfister, and Casey and husband Jordan Peck. She is also
survived by grandchildren Stephen and Hailey Amador &
Juniper Peck and her great grandchildren Charlotte Amador
and Lorenzo Irvin (with new baby Irvin on the way).
Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Barbara
Ponesse, Joanne and husband John McDonough, Karen and
husband Robert Cox and Kathy Corrado as well as her aunt,
Marie Christiana (Corrado) and many nieces, nephews, cousins
and good friends.
May Lynda find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the
beautiful memories shared with her. Lynda will forever
