Maureen C. Coan Howard of New Windsor, NY entered into
eternal rest on December 31, 2023 at Montgomery Nursing
& Rehabilitation, Montgomery, NY. She was 87 years old.
The daughter of the late Lawrence J. Coan and Frances A.
(Auberger) Coan, Maureen was born on December August 26,
1936 in Newburgh, NY. Maureen was a retired Supply Clerk for
DPHW West Point in West Point, NY for over 65 years. Maureen
was preceded in death by her loving husband: Alexander S.
Howard, Jr. in 2022. She leaves behind her four
step-children: Alexander Howard, III and wife Angela,
Corinne A. (Howard) Cronin and her husband John, Beth
(Howard) Rafferty and her husband Terry and Edwin R. Howard
and wife Susan; grandchildren: Jessica (Howard) Workman and
her husband Josh, Michael Cronin and his wife Ashley, Shaun
Cronin and his partner Jon, Kristopher Cronin and his wife
Kay, Terence Rafferty, Glendon Rafferty and his wife Jen,
Alexander, and Aiden Howard; and eight great grandchildren.
Maureen was also predeceased by her sister: Barbara Coan.
A Graveside Service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday,
January 5th. at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor, NY.
