Beverly Ann Cesar 71, of Newburgh, NY passed away at home on
January 20, 2024, at the age of 71. Beverly was born on
February 26, 1952, at St Luke's Hospital in Newburgh to
Carlise DeGroat and Genevieve Mae Dubois. Beverly was loved
and raised by her adoptive mother Sylvia Brock. She married
her husband Max Cesar on February 26, 1977, in Newburgh.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband of forty-six
years, Max Cesar and 2 sons, Gregory Cesar, and his wife
Jennifer Cesar, of Cherry Valley, MA and Glenn Cesar of
Newburgh, NY. She has 3 grandchildren, Jaya Cesar, Alijah
Cesar, and Josiah Cesar all of Cherry Valley, MA. and many
cousins, nieces, and nephews. Beverly spent her entire
life as a devoted community member of Newburgh. She
graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1970 and attended
Orange County Community College. She worked for the
telephone company as a drafter for more than 30 years.
Outside of work, Beverly was a member of St Patrick's church
and dedicated lots of her time volunteering around the
community including serving as a youth mentor for the local
NAACP chapter. She was a devoted grandmother who loved to
brag about her grandbabies. She enjoyed traveling, shopping,
and going out to spend time with her family. She loved
watching the Yankees, playing card games, and having long
conversations on the phone with her grandchildren. Beverly
will be remembered by all for her witty spunk followed up by
her loving kindness. She will be deeply missed by all and
will always carry on in our hearts.
