Marie Marino Maniscalco Hollenbeck - Class of 1954

  Marie Marino Maniscalco Hollenbeck of the Town of Newburgh entered into rest on January 22, 2024 at the age of 88. Born at home on Ann Street in the City of Newburgh, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Marino and Mary Delio Marino. She was the widow of Pierre L. Hollenbeck who predeceased her in 1989.
               Marie was a graduate of NFA and attended OCCC. She was retired from Fleet Bank Headquarters in Newburgh which later became Bank of America. She was in the Facilities Management/Operations Department. She also worked at Wallkill Central School District as a Special Education Teachers Assistant. Marie was a member of the Golden Age Club in the Town of Newburgh. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, she especially loved the holiday seasons filled with the traditional foods, joy and love. Marie always had a smile for everyone and truly enjoyed her life.
               Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted children, son Peter Maniscalco and his wife Beth of Elverson, PA and her daughter Maria and her husband Joseph Afonso of the Town of Newburgh. Her adoring grandchildren who she was very proud of grandson Michael Joseph Afonso and granddaughter Nicole Marie Afonso. Marie is also survived by her brother Anthony (Tony) Marino and his wife Susan of the Town of Newburgh. In addition to being predeceased by her parents Angelo and Mary Delio Marino, her husband Pierre L. Hollenbeck and first husband Joseph J. Maniscalco, she was predeceased by her brother Carmen A. Marino and his wife Frances, her sister Filomena Marino Valentino Hughes and her nephews Matthew Delio Marino and Angelo Peter Marino. Also left to cherish her memory are her many dear friends, cousins and nephews.
              Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 28 from 1-4 p.m. at the DiDonato Funeral Service, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro NY. The funeral will be held on Monday, January 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the DiDonato Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Marino family plot at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor, NY. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc., Marlboro, NY.
