Frederick “Fred” W. Gardner, Jr., 84 of Newburgh NY passed
away on February 24, 2024. Frederick was born July 15, 1939
in Newburgh to Frederick W. and Vata M. (Alcock) Gardner. He
worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Bank
of NY in White Plains. Fred was an avid record collector and
enjoyed listening to his collection, Nintendo collector and
player, along with his vintage Kodak Camera collection. In
his younger days Fred was an avid bowler and loved playing
just about any pinball machine he could. He was a loving
son, brother, husband, uncle, great uncle and great-great
uncle to his family. Fred was a very kind and happy soul to
all those who knew him. He loved getting together with his
family as much as possible. Fred also loved spending time
with his wife Josie watching their favorite shows. His
smile, laughter and heart will forever be missed yet always
in our hearts and memories. Fred is survived by his spouse,
Josephine Gardner of Newburgh; sibling, Vata (Gardner) Shook
and her husband Don of NC; nieces and nephews: William and
his fiancé Dawn and Dawn and her husband Alex; great-nieces:
Jamie and her husband Mike and Amanda and her partner
Justin; and great-great niece, Madilynn, daughter of Jamie.
He is predeceased by his father, Frederick W. Sr.; his
mother, Vata M. (Alcock); and his brother, Jeffery W.
Gardner. |
