John Teliho - Class of 1954

    John "Jack" Teliho, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Jack was born in Newburgh, New York on December 9, 1935, to Emil and Margaret Teliho. He attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy. Jack gave 35 years of service to IBM, before retiring in 1991. In his free time, Jack enjoyed playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and collecting stamps. In December 1992, Jack married Margaret Agnew, who now survives him at home. He is also survived by his children, Brian Teliho (Gina) of Kula, Hawaii, Dianne Hults of Englewood, Florida, Paula Marton of Port Orange, Florida, and sister Jeanne Berry (Ivan) of North Port, Florida. Additionally, Jack is survived by seven grandchildren: Kelly Grabowsky (Stan), Christin Frank (Dan), Timothy Hults II (Amy), David Marton (Kaci), Dylan Hults, Eloisa Teliho, Emilio Teliho, and five great-grandchildren: Nolan and Jack Grabowsky, Austin and Logan Hults, Remi Rae Marton, and many loving relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Louis Baker, daughter Jacqueline Murphy, son-in-law Paul Marton, and his previous wife and mother of his children, Camille Affuso. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, located at 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Noon, at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St, Poughkeepsie, NY, with burial to follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to Dutchess Outreach, or a charity of your choosing.
