It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Patricia
Heller (nee Hotaling) formerly of New Windsor, NY, has
fallen asleep in death on April 16 2024 in her home in
Jamestown, NY. She was predeceased by her parents Howard and
Josephine Hotaling, her brother Ronnie and her cousin Janet
Radulski. In her final moments, Pat had her five children
Lori, Howard, Pam, Kenny, John and her loving husband of 63
years Kenneth (Butch) at her bedside. In addition to her
husband and children, Pat is survived by her sister Kristina
Paz, her brother Richard Hotaling as well as her many
nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. As
her family grieves this tremendous loss, we remember the
great love that Pat gave to all people but especially her
love for animals. There was no shortage of furry friends
around from cats, dogs, goats, chickens and even her pet
skunk that she bottle fed by hand. Pat always had a plethora
of delicious recipes at hand. She was a faithful Jehovah's
Witness, often the first to volunteer to prepare and serve
food for various events and went door to door throughout
Newburgh teaching others about the Bible. In addition to her
deep faith, Pat and her husband loved spending time with
friends and family whether camping in the woods or barbecues
around the pool. In her later years, Pat enjoyed singing and
dancing in her living room with her family and reminiscing
on old memories. Despite the miles between her and her
hometown in her later years, her heart never left New
Windsor. Pat would always reassure Kristina in their calls
that no matter how many miles away they were, they shared
the same moon, and they were never really that far if they
shared the same night sky. Pat's family will be holding a
private celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, please make a donation in Pats memory to Chautauqua
Hospice and Palliative Care for the compassion and care they
showed to Pat allowing her to pass peacefully with dignity.
