Class of 1959, Charles has passed. - As per the obituary of his brother-in-law
James 'Bubby' Mazzola - Class of 1959........ Charles was the son of the late James
and Anna Komar Carlstrom

Carlstrom, Charles M. the owner of C.C. Industries Newburgh, and resident
of Middlehope, N.Y. entered into rest Monday, April 16, 2001, at St.
Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. He was 59. Son of the late James and Anna Komar
Carlstrom, he was born July 15, 1941, in Cornwall, New York. Mr. Carlstrom
was the past president of the New Windsor Fire Department, the past
president of the Sullivan, Orange, Ulster Radio Society, which is a model
airplane flying club, a member of the American Legion Post 1796, New
Windsor, a member of the Ducktown Rod and Gun Club, New Windsor, a member
of the Chattarack Rod and Gun Club, a member of the Hudson Valley Fire
Association and its Royal Order of the Red Vest, Orange County
Association, a former member of the Bass Busters Group of Blackrock Fish
and Game Club. A Family Statement reads: "Charles had many friends and was
quick with a joke. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and
brother; he will be truly missed." Survivors include his wife Susan Nelson
Carlstrom, at home; two sons, James and his wife Kathy Carlstrom of
Montgomery and Charles "Chuck" and his wife Michele of Saratoga Springs;
one daughter, Marianne and her husband, Michael Sullivan of the Woodlands,
Texas: one sister, Marlene "Molly" Mazzola, of Middlehope; seven
grandchildren, Christie Carlstrom, Jillian Carlstrom, Patrick Sullivan,
Erin Sullivan, Owen Carlstrom, Amanda Carlstrom, and Emily Carlstrom, and
several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by one
brother-in-law, James "Bubby" Mazzola. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 in DiDonato-Brooks Funeral Home, 481
Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00
a.m. on Friday, April 20 at St. Francis Church, Newburgh. Burial will
follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. The family suggests in Charlie's
memory, you make a donation to a charity of your choice. Arrangements
under the direction of DiDonato-Brooks Funeral Home.
