lifelong resident of Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully at
the Kaplan Family Hospice Center with his wife Leona by his
side on Wednesday, May 28th, 2024. Vincent was born in
Newburgh, NY on June 27th 1948, the son of the late Armand
Santacroce and Catherine “Caye” Mastrota Santacroce. Vincent
was predeceased by his loving sister Lorraine Santacroce in
2020.
Vinnie attended
Newburgh Schools and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in
1966, received his associates degree from Orange County

United States Army Reserve receiving honorable discharge in
December of 1976. Vinnie also worked a long career as a TTA
for Verizon Communications. During his many years at the
telephone company he enjoyed a packed social calendar
including his bowling league at Pat Tarsio’s, taking his
boat out on the Hudson River with friends and family and his
softball league participation. After retiring he worked as a
part-time service coordinator and dispatcher for Clegg
Brothers Garage Door Company in New Windsor. After retiring
from Clegg Brothers much of his enjoyment came from watching
his great-grandsons Nicky and Coop play baseball at New
Windsor Little League and for NFA baseball, his alma mater.
Vincent is survived by his wife Leona of Newburgh; daughters

Florida. He was a loving grandfather and “Poppy” to all
